Position Summary

The Business Intelligence department is responsible for developing a platform delivering the “golden source of truth” for KPIs/KRIs within Guggenheim Securities. Data domains include Finance, Risk & Compliance, and Business Controls. The platform’s tech stack includes principally: Power BI, SQL Studio, C#, and .Net server applications.

Essential Job Functions

  • Work cross-functionally with business units, information technology, and shared service business leaders to identify opportunities, design, and assess improvements to Guggenheim’s business intelligence platform.
  • Work alongside functional leaders across product, engineering, finance, corporate, and human resources to help drive high decision quality across an aligned cross-functional strategy.
  • Develop, and maintain key performance and risk indicators that drive business decisions, and risk & control outcomes
  • Make business and control recommendations, conveying findings at multiple levels including managers, and peers through visual displays of quantitative information.
  • Support business intelligence platform including data analysis and transformation, and articulating business logic for a varied clients and data domains.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in computer or data science, statistics, quantitative finance, or other equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Power Query.
  • Knowledge Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
  • Microsoft Power BI: high degree of proficiency in DAX programming language, familiarity with developing reports including incorporating business logic into measures.
  • Experience in SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Familiarity with SLDC including QA, testing, release and CI/CD.
  • Good verbal communication skills and curiosity about the data and underlying business.
  • Basic understanding of risk management and business intelligence concepts.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • Located in New York with flexibility to work remotely.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer or data science, or mathematics.
  • 1-4 years of experience in developing business intelligence reporting frameworks.

Salary Details

  • Annual base salary between $85,000 and $110,000.
  • The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
