Position Summary

Guggenheim Investments seeks an exceptional candidate to join our Management Operations function as Head of Pricing and Performance reporting to the Co-Head of Operations. A primary responsibility is managing two leaders and their teams: and ensuring the accuracy of investment pricing, oversight of time-sensitive operational tasks, and managing investment performance reporting for portfolio strategies.

 

An understanding of the operational workflows as it relates to Pricing and Performance is a key component of the role. The ability to communicate and work across all levels of the firm is critical as this position has oversight for all aspects of pricing, valuation, and performance for the firm. This is a key leader role in Operations and with the potential to expand one’s oversight over time.

 

This position is located in our Chicago office.

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for all aspects of managing all aspects of pricing controls, valuation model controls and performance for the firm
  • Manage teams of 10+ employees
  • Propose updates to pricing policy to address new industry rules and work with the Pricing Committee to adopt changes
  • Oversee yearly fund and client audit request processes
  • Review new pricing vendor offerings and lead yearly vendor due diligence process
  • Understand and implement process to ensure compliance with, new regulator rules in pricing and performance calculations and processes
  • Act as a voting member or primary contact for the firm’s Pricing and Funds Valuation committees
  • Oversee performance measurement, performance attribution reports, GIPS procedure documents, including the quarterly and annual GIPS verifications
  • Ensure operational processes meet standards established by internal and external auditors, including SOC1 procedures and GIPS standards
  • Lead in the design or revision of processes and procedures to ensure that the operational infrastructure is able to scale to accommodate strategic growth targets

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience in fixed income and/or middle office asset management
  • Possess a solid understanding of equities, fixed income securities, and derivatives
  • Team-oriented individual with ability to collaborate with a diverse range of groups
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining accuracy and quality of work
  • Analytical mindset to problem-solve and analyze processes and procedures for improvements
  • Effective management and implementation of processes
  • CAIA level I and II certification

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 10+ years of experience in financial services industry
  • Leadership experience managing and coaching employees
  • Experience working within an Operations function
  • Prior work experience in pricing, performance, valuation or a combination of the three functions
  • High proficiency in Excel, Access

Salary Details

Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience.

 

Currently, this role is expected to be in the ­Chicago office at least 4 days per week.
