Position Summary

Guggenheim Investments is seeking a seasoned Senior Client Service Specialist to join its Client Services team. Reporting to the Head of Client Service within Institutional Distribution, the Senior Client Service Specialist will serve as the direct point person for high touch institutional investors on their most complex day-to-day or non-routine issues and will utilize considerable communication skills to build strong and long-lasting relationships with Guggenheim’s clients. 


In addition, the candidate should have the ability to put forth recommendations and solutions and/or escalate to management as appropriate in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have an eagerness to learn and apply their knowledge; and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where it is important to prioritize and manage client’s needs and timelines across multiple clients.

 

The position is located in our New York City office.

Essential Job Functions

  • Previous deep experience in a Client Service role at an institutional investment firm
  • Works directly with external clients to resolve the most complex day-to-day or non-routine issues, as needed.
  • If atypical issues cannot be resolved, put forth recommendations/solutions and/or escalate to management as appropriate and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborates with team members in providing support to major clients in addressing and resolving and ensuring requests are executed.
  • Support the onboarding team in leading the client onboarding effort directly with the client team.
  • Uses masterful communication skills to deliver high quality service to a specialized client base.
  • Collaborate with clients in reviewing potential business needs. Uncover new/unanticipated needs or solutions.
  • Manages resolution of issues escalated by more junior team members.
  • Uses extensive knowledge of client servicing and needs to support colleagues in business development efforts.
  • Uses expert understanding of Guggenheim strategies and products to resolve and answer client questions about portfolio.
  • Provides guidance and may assign work to less experienced team members.
  • Supports multiple, complex client accounts.
  • Ensure all meeting notes and important updates are documented in Salesforce.
  • Review and analyze DDQs to ensure excellence and accuracy, Guggenheim’s best foot forward.
  • Ensure ongoing meetings are scheduled well in advance and are in line with the policies and procedures.
  • Schedule and orchestrate client meetings and inquiries with appropriate team members.

  • The candidate must have very strong communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, a positive attitude, self-initiator, professionalism, incredible follow-through, a great work ethic and the ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize with ease.
  • Passion for service and finance with the ability to provide a superior level of service
  • Aptitude for complex problem solving
  • Good analytical skills with a superior level of attention to detail to adhere to policies,
    procedures, and guidelines
  • Collaborative and relational work style with proven success in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A savvy user of Salesforce (or other CRM system), Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Desire for growth opportunities and ongoing training
  • Series 7, 63 and 3

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a preferred concentration in a business-related field.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in Client Service role within financial services.
  • Strong Fixed Income product knowledge with a sound understanding of front office and middle office workflows is required
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Must have the ability to be pleasantly persistent when needed.

Salary Details

Annual base salary between $175,000 and $200,000.

 

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.

 

Currently, this role is expected to be in the ­New York office at least 4 days per week
