Position Summary

Guggenheim Securities (“GS”) is seeking exceptional experienced Analysts to join its Financial Institutions Group (“FIG”) Investment Banking team in New York. The FIG group is a rapidly growing and a critically important strategic initiative for GS. We provide coverage across various sub-verticals including Banks, Specialty Finance, FinTech and Insurance. Our Analysts play an integral role in evolving and enhancing our client relationships and are active participants throughout the life of a transaction and beyond.

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform financial analyses to support M&A advisory transactions and highlight key takeaways
  • Research client sectors, determine key industry drivers and assemble insights to support and enhance advisory services and new business development initiatives
  • Conduct diligence, research, analysis and documentation of potential and live transactions
  • Analyze, structure and execute transactions on behalf of corporate clients with a focus on Financial Institutions, including Banks, Specialty Finance (consumer and commercial), FinTech, and Insurance companies
  • Create relevant marketing memoranda, diligence exhibits and transaction artifacts
  • Contribute to the creation of strategic frameworks, tools and intellectual property to aid business development activities of the firm
  • Lead administrative workstreams in transactions (e.g., data room, scheduling, etc.)
  • Participate in and memorialize takeaways from client meetings and drafting sessions
  • Identify improvements to processes and propose solutions to complete group tasks more efficiently
  • Employ databases including Bloomberg, Thomson Eikon, SNL and FactSet to perform comparable company and precedent transactions analyses
  • Actively participate in recruiting and training activities
  • Additional responsibilities as requested

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current or prior investment banking, private equity, in-house M&A or valuation advisory experience is required
  • Significant level of maturity and the ability to work as a team interfacing with top company executives and senior management
  • Highly organized, with the initiative and ability to work with limited supervision
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Effective process management abilities

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • Core modeling and valuation experience

Salary Details

  • Annual base salary between $110,000 and $130,000.
  • The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
  • Currently, this role is expected to be in the ­­­­New York office at least 4 days per week.
