Position Summary

Guggenheim Investments is seeking an exceptional candidate to join the Technology Team as a Senior Data Analyst responsible to design, develop, implement and maintain business solutions for data management and analysis. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will possess deep knowledge of business data dependencies and contribute to the strategy and vision of Guggenheim Investments’ technology platform by planning, creating, and maintaining a cloud-based data platform. The documentation may include complex business process, UI sample code, data schemas and other relevant materials to accurately capture the state of the firm’s data platform and related systems.

Essential Job Functions

  • Support the data architects in building and maintaining a central data repository for Guggenheim Investments
  • Edit, clarify, and present documents to technology and business audiences
  • Respond to stakeholder needs by gathering requirements and translating them into user stories that enable business stakeholders who consume data in reports, visualizations, and dashboards
  • Regularly assess data architectures across new and legacy systems
  • Work with Product teams to understand upcoming features and releases to capture value delivered to the business
  • Work with data from a variety of sources, including investment, accounting, regulatory, vendor and fund administrators
  • A strong vision in how data can be ingested, refined, and optimized for business users to consume for common or bespoke business use cases
  • Possess the ability to interpret large data sets through use of data queries and quality metrics
  • Strong technical interest and aptitude to perform discovery and analysis
  • Foster an atmosphere of collaboration and leadership within technology and business teams
  • Excellent verbal, writing and editing skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8-15 years’ experience in the financial services industry (preferably in asset management)
  • Experience in cloud technology and infrastructure
  • Experience with large enterprise data ecosystems and analytics platforms
  • Experience with Jira and working in an agile environment
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL, Azure Analytics, .NET and Python
  • Familiar with data modeling techniques

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be:
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business, or related field
    • 5-7 years’ experience as a data analyst, business analyst or data developer in a financial services
    • organization, ideally in asset management

Salary Details

Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience.
