Position Summary

The Client Reporting Vice President position oversees the production, review, approval, distribution, and retention of client reports.  Reporting to the Head of Client Reporting, the Vice President oversees the functions associated with internal and external reporting for clients and third-party providers.  We seek a candidate adept at problem solving, is articulate, takes initiative, and has the confidence and communication skills to interact with individuals at all levels of the company. A candidate with experience in insurance client reporting is a plus.

Success in this role entails operating in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment, and the capability and willingness to get involved in daily tasks and step in to help the team as necessary. The role provides the opportunity to partner closely with the Head of Client Service Support, the Client Service Support team, Portfolio Management professionals and colleagues within Business Operations.

 

The position is located in our New York City offices

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the firm’s business, investment strategies, data, policies, and procedures to enable effective communication with global business owners.
  • Maintain quality control, ensuring on-time delivery and report accuracy. Be well-versed and capable of stepping in and assisting the team.
  • Coordinate data and information flow to support global report production.
  • Work closely with relevant parties to understand, define and document reporting requirements.
  •  Assist in developing and implementing reports, procedures, and controls to ensure the compliance of regulations and group policies.
  • Identify areas of inefficiency and work together with the team members and other stakeholders in Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Distribution, Portfolio Management, etc. for efficiency improvement by implementing systematic solutions and workflow re-engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills including a demonstrated ability to analyze and manage large sets of interconnected data and information.
  • Advanced time management skills resulting in the effective delivery of information for ad-hoc requests while continuing to perform day-to-day operational responsibility at the highest level.
  • Adept at operating in a high-volume, deadline-driven, rapidly evolving environment
  • ·Able to prioritize, lead discussions, multitask and coordinate objectives among a diversified group of stakeholders.
  •  Excellent communication skills and ability to understand the audience.  Articulate and explain complex issues to individuals in different functioning roles – junior staff as well as senior management.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with more than 10 years overall experience in insurance reporting and investment management or financial services environments.
  • Have worked in back and middle office operations position(s) in the financial services industry.
  • Have experience working with investment management operations and distribution teams.
  • Expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint required, and critical to have advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Charts, Graphs).

Salary Details

Annual base salary between $110,000 and $120,000.

 

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
