Position Summary

  • Responsible for the ongoing monitoring of equity markets and determining appropriate positioning. This insight is shared with sales/distribution and the firm’s clients.

Essential Job Functions

  • Research, organize, and concisely write equity intelligence on a monthly/quarterly basis to facilitate sales of equity products.
  • Work alongside product distribution, assist in external due diligence meetings discussing equity themes that coincide with Guggenheim’s product lineup.
  • Plan, prepare, and present equity themes for monthly/quarterly webcasts that aggregate commentary in visual and audio format.
  • Participates in direct advisor/client conference calls discussing current equity themes and the coinciding products that can captures those themes presented.
  • Constantly monitor equity markets to support the evolution of the team’s equity positioning from a macro and fundamental perspective.
  • Work with internal and external sales members of Guggenheim to provide intelligence on products (attribution), markets (performance drivers), and forward-looking commentary (market intelligence) on how the products could perform based on the firm’s thought leadership.
  • Participates in new product launches, providing commentary on the fit of the strategy in the markets and potentially return drivers.
  • Work with marketing department to help position products in the marketplace by providing firm commentary on macroeconomic and equity topics that coincide with specific strategies being sold.
  • Run monthly meetings with distribution team to review UIT products that are maturing to capture rolls.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Unit Investment Trusts & Equity Mutual Funds highly desirable
  • High level of proficiency in Bloomberg, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness and ability to work constructively and collaboratively with others
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, and extended hours as required
  • Organized and extremely detail-oriented

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 7 (VP) years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree and/or CFA designation preferred
  • Broad understanding of equity markets and other asset classes, investment vehicles, and investment strategies

Salary Details

Annual base salary between $135,000 - $145,000. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
