Position Summary

Guggenheim Partners seeks a candidate who will be the lead architect for Guggenheim Investments (GI) technology platform. The Enterprise Architect will recommend and implement the strategic direction, development, and approach for GI’s technology platform. In this role, one will work to integrate the organization's information, applications, and programs. The enterprise architect will be a key contributor and project lead for GI IT’s most significant projects and will develop architectural standards and policies.

 

The position is an individual contributor role and is located in our New York City or Darien, CT offices.

Essential Job Functions

  • Establish, implement, and maintain architectural strategy, standards, and processes across the IT organization.
  • Architect and design solutions to unique systems problems of the highest complexity and with companywide impact.
  • Partner with Technology and Business leadership to define strategies, make strategic recommendations, and align technology strategy to business strategy.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to Technology and Business leadership.
  • Create and maintain key architecture assets such as system and process diagrams, architectural documentation, and roadmaps
  • Develop easy-to-understand user process materials for systems and applications.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for the organization.
  • Set standards for the use of certain technologies and applications.
  • Consider technical and organizational risks, and the existing organization’s ability to support a decision, and future maintenance implications
  • Provide technical direction on large and distributed projects, project schedules and cost impacts.
  • Provide technical support for very complex, high-risk systems problems in multiple areas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud-based platforms like Azure Data Stack (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Analysis Services, Synapse, Azure DevOps, EventHubs etc)
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Domain (Reference architecture, Target Architecture, Governance, Design principles and Patterns, Defining roadmaps)
  • Strong knowledge in several technology domains such as technical, application, business process, and data
  • Strong knowledge of diagramming tools
  • Skilled at aligning technology capabilities to business solutions
  • Experience leading complex enterprise-wide projects
  • Self-starter who can anticipate and proactively resolve issues that could delay, impact projects, or create production problems
  • Expertise developing and presenting recommendations for problems to senior management

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires 10+ years of relevant asset management financial services experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, advanced degree a plus
  • Strong experience in enterprise data architecture, data platforms, and data strategy
  • Expert ability to create system diagrams, architectural documentation, and roadmaps
  • Ability to handle multiple large tasks on multiple large projects and prioritize appropriately
  • Ability to explain complex problems and concepts to all levels in the organization
  • Strategic mindset and ability to think critically
  • Can demonstrate sound logic and judgment on the most difficult problems

Salary Details

Annual base salary between $220,000 and $250,000


The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components.
