Honoring the Guggenheim Partners legacy, and in coordination with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Veterans Initiative Advisory Committee, Guggenheim has established the Veterans Transition Assistance Program (VTAP) internship as an opportunity to provide transitioning veterans (Veteran Associates) with exposure to the Financial Services industry at a rapidly growing firm.
Here at Guggenheim, we relish opportunities to solve complex problems through innovative solutions, and we know that veterans do as well. The aim of the VTAP internship is to provide a select group of Veteran Associates the opportunity to accelerate their career transition to enhance their skills, gain exposure to working in a corporate environment, and expand their networks.
The 2023 VTAP is a paid, 10-week internship where the Veteran Associate will experience our collaborative culture and work within one of Guggenheim Partners’ many business units, while simultaneously participating in the five components of the VTAP Program:
(1) Formal onboarding and classroom lectures
(2) On the job training
(3) Mentorship
(4) Networking events
(5) Volunteer opportunities with veterans service organizations
The VTAP internship is currently open to transitioning military servicemembers or recently transitioned veterans from various military backgrounds that are currently enrolled in undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Available VTAP positions may originate out of the following offices: Chicago, New York, Santa Monica, and Frisco (TX).
We seek a variety of disciplines for the VTAP including finance, economics, business administration, civil engineering, procurement, and human resources.
The 2023 VTAP internship takes place from June 5, 2023 to August 11, 2023.
The VTAP internship prioritizes the career transition for its servicemembers or veterans to ensure that Veteran Associates are incorporated within their assigned team to provide ample opportunity for meaningful exposure to the inner-workings of the business and the overall experience of the Financial Services industry.
If you have an interest in working within financial services and meet the qualifications above, please submit an application and resume indicating your area(s) of interest. Cover letter is optional.
