Position Summary

The Art Director within the Marketing & Communications team serves as a creative leader for Guggenheim Securities overall. As part of the team, the Art Director will work in partnership across all creative disciplines and practices, to advance the expression of the Guggenheim Securities brand through design across all touch-points.


This professional will be able to lead both Guggenheim internal teams and external agencies, collaborators, and partners, as well as roll up their sleeves and operate all day-to-day aspects of the creative process. He/she will help expand the influence and impact of the team within Guggenheim Securities, and strengthen our overall executional excellence by leading through example.


While being a champion of our brand, the Art Director will be responsible for leading multiple strategic and tactical design projects including the design of brand identity and its expression in all marketing collateral including, but not limited to, web properties, email newsletters, videos, presentations, one-pagers, case studies, and events.

Essential Job Functions

  • Be a strong advocate and expert in the meaning, strategy and expression of the brand
  • Demonstrate hands-on engagement with all projects to meet deadlines and exceed expectations
  • Collaborate, influence, as well as manage through subject matter expertise and knowledge of design
  • Serve as arbiter over good design, but exercise flexibility to accommodate needs of the business
  • Generate new ideas, while establishing and maintaining standards
  • Be accountable for the overall success of our projects measured in specific business outcomes, as well as internal initiatives measured by performance metrics, such as adoption of a service

Preferred Qualifications

  • Visual design, identity, storytelling, branding and execution
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Extensive experience leading design, production and agency partner teams
  • Communicating and interfacing with stakeholders about design concepts, criteria, and guidelines
  • Taking ownership for teams and work–from conception to production–ensuring innovative work, best practices and standards of quality
  • Applications: Adobe Creative Suite (Highly proficient), MS Office; Cvent; Kentico

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years design and creative leadership experience

Salary Details

  • Annual base salary between $90,000 and $130,000.
  • The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
  • Currently, this role is expected to be in the ­­­­New York office at least 4 days per week.
