Position Summary

Guggenheim is seeking a Defined Contribution Investment Only (DCIO) Specialist for its DCIO Knowledge Center.  Our DCIO Knowledge Center is a high-quality team that includes our DCIO Desk Specialists and DCIO Account Manager.  This team will support various internal and external sales representatives across all distribution channels including advisors and record keeping platforms.  This team will serve as DCIO subject matter experts within the firm to properly position Guggenheim Investments in the DCIO marketplace.

 

Reporting to the Head of Specialty Product Sales, this person will join a team responsible for increasing DCIO assets.  In your role as a Specialist, you will be responsible for processing incoming leads from the broker dealer, IBD, RIA and UIT teams and you will serve as a retirement resource for our field teams and National Account teams.  You will work with advisors, consultants, investment fiduciaries, third-party administrators and record keepers to drive the utilization of our investment capabilities in DC plan investments. You will answer complex questions on the DCIO market and our product offerings. This role is based in Chicago.

Essential Job Functions

  • Using the sales process, you will identify needs, provide meaningful DCIO solutions, and deliver superior service to internal and external clients.
  • You will be collaborating with multiple internal sales teams, the national account team and product teams to ensure success.
  • Leveraging your expertise of capital markets, Guggenheim products, competitors’ products, and the retirement industry you will be responsible for integrating current themes and campaigns into conversations with intermediaries that will drive the DCIO sales process.
  • You will be accountable for daily and monthly activity metric requirements of the department and will maintain and update the firm’s CRM.
  • Using technology and analytical tools, you will be responsible for providing critical product and competitor analysis to intermediaries and internal partners.
  • Ability to travel a few days a quarter if necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Finance or Business)
  • MBA, CIMA, CPWM, CAIA or CFA preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within a financial brokerage or investment management environment in a sales capacity, preferably in the retirement space.
  • Enhanced problem-solving abilities, analytical abilities, and familiarity with investment strategies.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Informed and conversant across a broad range of topics
  • Energetic, self-motivated, positive attitude, goal-oriented
  • Ability to meet deadlines, strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Technical skills should include experience with Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel

Basic Qualifications

  • DCIO experience critical
  • Current FINRA Registrations (Series 7, 63, 65, and/or 66)
