Position Summary

Guggenheim is seeking a detailed oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to join the Chicago office. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this person will assist in the administration of payroll with primary emphasis on payroll processing, reporting and data analysis. The ideal candidate must be proficient in ADP Workforce Now and ADP Reporting. Will preferably also have a working knowledge of foreign payroll.

Essential Job Functions

  • Administer payroll for Guggenheim Payroll Agent and all affiliated foreign and domestic payrolls, with full knowledge of all payroll functions and executables
  • Conduct new payroll company and earnings, deduction codes set up and integration
  • Support accounting interface and cash reconciliation
  • Assist with ensuring that all operations of the Payroll section are administered in accordance with Company policies, principles, and procedures
  • Implement and update Payroll policies and procedures
  • Answer and follow up all payroll inquiries, internally and externally
  • Work with Payroll provider as well as Federal and State agencies on tax registration and adjustment inquiries
  • Work with other functions within the company as well as with outside vendors to ensure efficient, safe, and quality operations
  • Assist in year-end and state internal and external audit deliverables
  • Develop and formulate reports for payroll data analysis
  • Complete ad-hoc roles and responsibilities as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Ex-Patriots and foreign payroll and reporting preferred
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality with the utmost integrity is required
  • Ability to multi-task in order to meet assigned deadlines

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent required
  • A minimum of five years of payroll experience required
  • Must have working knowledge and experience of ADP Workforce Now & ADP Reporting
  • Must have working knowledge of Local, State and Federal laws and regulations regarding payroll issues (taxes, garnishments, child support, etc.)

Salary Details

  • Annual base salary between $75,000 and $85,000.
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
