Position Summary

Guggenheim Securities, the Investment Banking division of Guggenheim Partners, is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our growing Houston Energy Investment Banking team. This role would provide support for our technical team in a variety of functions.

Essential Job Functions

  • Loading production data and formatting reserve databases (both Aries and PhdWin)
  • Running reserve databases under multiple sensitivities as directed by the reservoir engineers
  • Working with engineers to support PDP decline and type curve analysis as needed
  • Coordinating with mapping team to ensure that data attributes posted to maps are up-to-date
  • Managing virtual data rooms (including data uploads and user access permissions)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Software required: Aries, PhdWin, Petra, Spotfire, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

Basic Qualifications

  • Four year degree preferred or Associate’s Degree in Petroleum Technology
  • Two years oil and gas minimum experience required

Salary Details

  • Annual base salary between $100,000 and $150,000.
  • The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
  • Currently, this role is expected to be in the ­­­­Houston office at least 4 days per week.
